One of the first examples of large size mugs. Very interesting and rare composition on the body. Probably a combination of important structures on the Golden Horn and the Marmara coast. Examples of Byzantine architecture. Baba Nakkaş style dominated on the neck. However, it can be a special order because of the patterns used on the neck, “+” pattern seen between neck and body and even a three-point cross spread on the body (perhaps explaining the Byzantine cemetery). Cylindrical form of the neck and base. History 1520-25.

Deep Bowl 

Baba Nakkaş vertical and horizantal flowers and Şah Kulu saz leaves are together. For now, Sah Kulu began to take over the legacy is less. A respect to master. But the most interesting motifs, stylized dragon pattern “S” around the mouth border.

Dragon skin pattern applied on the border. Simple looking and drawing bird view flowers in the band  on the curved inner wall. But flowers same and the leaves are different. This shows us that the lack of knowledge in practice. “Easy trend” work period. This composition will be repeated from time to time up to 1580 s.

Thick and a long stem branches of black grapes and the vine coil around the tree.

An example of detecting clearly the error on dating, decided to look at this section. 3 muscarine flowers in the composition, – that these are two sides of the thick tree body look like bell – a motif used for the first time during the Şah Kulu. Therefore, history can not be absolutely 1530.

Border still dragon skin. Grains from the cobalt blue shades of grape, shows that these grapes are “black grape”. flowers and leaves applied unconsciously on the middle border. True date 1545.

Main composition, “three stylized dragon” between fig leaves on the edge of border. Dragon skin in the semse motif. 6-star medallion in the center. on the main border, 8 dragon, even the feet and tails drawn between flowers.(picture 134). The outer thin border is arrowhead.

“Stylized double dragon” pattern is the main figure on a mosque oil lamp. However craftmen and / or artist master knew this motif is dragon. Donot have enough courage to draw a dragon face like on (p.028, picture 33) -because of the relationship between mosque oil lamp and religious-. Nevertheless wanted to tell the truth on a abstract work if  you can realize.

Combination of three motif in the composition is very important. General structure is a “Chinese copy.”
Saz leaves pattern has a very advanced design quality. Half of the “bird view” flowers can be seen when it covers them. A dragon, as in the example the collection of the Louvre Museum (painting 146.147) wrapped around a saz leaf. “Stork”, the event itself. Future that will be available at the intensive, broken head muscarine accept the domination of saz leaf. All the motifs adapts to Cheese samples except the tulips on the Central border which is a messenger from future. This composition is probably the Shah Kulu “Saz leaf / style” opening operation. Iranian influence in the study, the figure of a bird, dragon and saz leaves of different application technique, shows that it is belongs to Shah Kulu.
It’s his first signing of Iznik ceramics.

Compositioni “vertical view” settled in the center of a flower. The flowers around is in “bird view/penç”. Saz leaves growing and multiply. Three tulips in the middle border, now prepares to move up to the outer border. External border (picture. 80) is same in the border of the neck as the jar is dated 1520. The end of Baba Nakkaş period, Şah Kulu early period. Date 1530-35
